The New River Valley Passenger Rail Station Authority regular meeting schedule was set recently. The board meets monthly on the 4th Thursday at 11:30am at the Pulaski County Innovation Center. At the January meeting the board adopted bylaws and selected the Regional Commission to serve as staff along with Sands Anderson, PC to serve as legal counsel. At the February meeting the board voted on officers to include Chair - Craig Meadows, Montgomery County Administrator; Vice Chair - Mike Barber, Town of Christiansburg Mayor; Secretary - Lynsey Belshe, Virginia Tech VP for Enterprise Administrative and Business Services; and Treasurer - Darlene Burcham, Pulaski Town Manager. The board will issue a RFQ for architecture/engineering services in March and it will be available on the Regional Commission website.
