In response to the growing opioid crisis and the higher overdose rates due to the use of fentanyl laced substances, the Buisness Continuity Team (BCT) is supporting the New River Health District (NRHD) in providing a virtual REVIVE Train the Trainer (TOT) event. This Zoom training will be on November 17 from 6-7:30 PM. This event is designed to train others to provide in-house training in the use of naloxone in the case of an opioid overdose.

The TOT event is limited to 30 participants to ensure a high quality, engaging learning environment. We will collect names on a waitlist if necessary and provide additional training at a later date. The NRHD is also offering monthly REVIVE training for those who wish to learn how to administer naloxone but not train others to do so. Naloxone is an easy to administer and effective response to an overdose and is available free of charge through the health department and New River Valley Community Services to those who have been trained.
